Why Logging In Matters

When you log into Robinhood, you gain access to your personalized dashboard where you can:

• View your portfolio performance (stocks, ETFs, crypto)
• Track live market data, charts, and news
• Make trades: buy, sell, limit orders, etc.
• Deposit or withdraw funds
• Set alerts, watchlists, and preferences

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

For enhanced security, Robinhood uses two-factor authentication. After entering your password, you'll be prompted to enter a time-sensitive code delivered to your phone or an authenticator app.

If you haven’t set up 2FA yet, we strongly encourage enabling it via your account security settings. It helps prevent unauthorized access even if someone obtains your password.

During login, if your account has 2FA enabled:

1. You’ll be asked for the verification code.
2. Enter the code from your app or SMS.
3. If authentication fails, follow the recovery flow or contact support.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

Forgot Your Password?

Click the “Forgot password?” link above to reset your password. We’ll send a secure reset link to your registered email. Always use a strong, unique password when you reset it.

Account Locked or Suspicious Activity

If your account is locked due to suspected unauthorized access, you’ll need to verify identity via email, phone, or security questions. In extreme cases, we may request identity documents.

2FA Device Lost or Reset

If you lose access to your 2FA method, use your backup recovery codes (provided when you enabled 2FA). If unavailable, contact support and verify via alternative identity proofing.

Still Locked Out?

Reach out to Robinhood Support via the official support portal. Be prepared with: your registered email, approximate last login date, or identity documents.

• Always check the URL — it should begin with https://robinhood.com
• Use a strong, unique password (mix uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols)
• Enable 2FA with an authenticator app or hardware key
• Avoid logging in over public Wi-Fi; use trusted networks or VPNs
• Log out when done, especially on shared or public devices
• Regularly review your login activity and connected devices

Robinhood tracks your session and login history, including:

• Login timestamps & IP addresses
• Location & device identifiers
• Failed login attempts
• Changes in security settings (password, 2FA)
